I would like to serve on the Board of Governors because I care deeply about the school and the well- being of all children at St Mary’s Star of the Sea.

As a parent, I want the very best for my own children and as a professional working in education I understand the importance of strong leadership, collaboration and high standards.

I support the school at every opportunity but would welcome the chance to contribute more formally by offering my time, experience and commitment.

I am passionate about helping the school continue to provide a nurturing, inclusive and high-quality learning environment where every child can thrive.

Gerard Mc Court

I would like to become a parent governor to play a more active role in supporting the school. As a former head chef I bring strong leadership, teamwork and decision-making skills, along with experience managing budgets, and working under pressure.

I am at present a mobile catering manager for the EA where I continue to develop my communication and relationship- building skills.

As a parent I am committed to helping to ensure a positive environment for all children and would value the opportunity to contribute to the governing body.
