Monday 28th August.
Dear Parents and Guardians,
I wanted to let you know how much we are looking forward to having the children return to us after the summer break. We are all very excited to see them and are busy preparing to ensure that they have a wonderful year.
In August school reopens for all classes at 8.50am each day and we would respectfully ask that you do not send your children into school earlier than this unless they are booked into Breakfast Club which starts at 8am; any child on school grounds before 840am not at breakfast club will be sent to breakfast club and charge
will be applied.
We ask that you do not drive into the school grounds unless absolutely necessary.
As a school we cannot be responsible for children on school grounds before 840am.
For the safety and security of your child and the whole school community parents must ring the school to arrange an appointment to speak with a teacher or the school Principal. Parents should not enter the school building without an appointment and will no longer have access to rooms or areas beyond the entrance foyer.

Uniform:
Given that uniform is an integral part of our identity as a school, we would encourage parents to please ensure that
full uniform is worn at all times. Black shoes or black trainers must be worn- Coloured trainers are not permitted. Children doing PE or attending clubs must wear their school uniform to school but will be allowed to change into their PE gear once in school. Children must not arrive at school in football tops or tracksuits.
Jewellery:
Following guidance from EA, children are not permitted to wear hooped or free hanging earrings. If an earring must be worn, please ensure that it is a small stud which should adhere to health and safety guidelines.
Hair:
We would ask parents to ensure that children’s haircuts are neat and do not include lines or designs.
Healthy Eating:
Fizzy drinks can no longer be part of your child’s lunch box. Please ensure that break and lunch are as healthy as possible. As an allergy aware school we have a zero tolerance towards nut-based products such as Nutella. These measures aim to make our school a better place- a safer place and one which we can all be proud of. If in doubt
ask at the office.
Carpark:
We have secured the continued use of The Metropolitan Tabernacle car park and would ask that parents do not drive up the school lane for collections and pick-ups.
Should you have any issues or concerns you can speak to me at the school gates each day or phone Mrs Scibiorska to arrange a meeting with either myself or your child’s teacher.
We have new access arrangements for children accessing the school building which I will share in a separate
letter.
